Maynard House, formerly Upper Valley Hostel, provides patients and their families with a comfortable place to recharge and get a good night's rest while treatment is received at medical centers in the NH/VT Upper Valley Region. A warm, welcoming and friendly atmosphere that offers the hug of home.

Maynard House strives to lessen the burden and expense of travel during medically challenging times so that resources can be used to recuperate and care for loved ones.

How it Works

  • Call to reserve a bed in advance - 603-643-3277
  • Business Hours: 9am - 9pm
  • Pay $25.00 per person per night, cash or checks (no credit cards)
  • Check in before 9:00 p.m., check out by 10:00 a.m.
  • Quiet hours after 10:00 p.m.

 

Maynard House is staffed 24 hours a day.

Maynard House does not provide any health-care assistance.

Each individual must be able to care for themselves or have a person with them to provide assistance.

Maynard House, formerly Upper Valley Hostel, embodies the hug of home, while patients receive treatment at medical centers in the NH/VT Upper Valley Region. Governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, the 501(c)(3) non-profit organization has been operating for over 36 years primarily through guest fees and the generosity of financial donations.

A warm home-like environment, clean linens and towels, fresh flowers in vases, breakfast foods, and a good night’s sleep await. The first one up makes the coffee.
