Established over 40 years ago, Maynard House, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, provides affordable, home-like overnight accomodations in downtown Hanover for adult patients, their caregivers, and families, while receiving treatment at medical centers of the NH/VT Upper Valley Region. Illness and injury are stressful on patients and their loved ones. Maynard House strives to lessen the burden and expense of travel during medically challenging times so that resources can be used to recuperate and care for loved ones.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Administrative Assistant is primarily responsible for administrative and facility duties including, but not limited to data management, overseeing guest relations, implementing aspects of the marketing and communications strategy, financial tracking and reporting, and overseeing the maintenance of the physical plant.

Primary Responsibilties

  • Data management, including accurately updating and maintaining cloud based and Excel databases, as well as running queries and generating reports
  • Guest relations, including managing reservation, registration, and payment system, as well as being a primary point of contact for guests during their stay
  • Marketing support, including coordinating communications through online email services and bulk mailings, and producing or editing marketing materials
  • Financial reporting, including tracking payments, donations, and deposits, and managing donor acknowledgements
  • Facility management, including inventory management, cleaning, and upkeep, as well as coordinating vendors

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of administrative experience in an office setting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex tasks and prioritize competing demands in order to meet deadlines and take initiative
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) and G Suite

Job Type: Full Time, 40 hours per week, non-exempt

Schedule: Flexible, primarily weekdays 8am to 5pm
